Online Intervention

Changing your (drug) habits is difficult. Especially when you try to do it on your own. Research shows that people who have help, are more often successful then those who don’t.
Mind your Trip will help you change tyour NPS using habits by offering a choice of three interventions, all offering contact with a real-life counsellor. In order of intensity, from light to more intensive:

  • Module 1: Insight into my use
  • Module 2: Safer use
  • Module 3: Quit or Reduce

Each module is an independent intervention, where a weekly message is sent by a counsellor during a four-week period after online registration. In addition to messages, the counsellor may make use of instructions and psycho-educational texts. Through his/her personal client portal, the participant can respond to a message and send a message, as well as find, create and ‘send’ the instructions. The client can also review, download or print the instructions created in his/her portal.

 

Get Insight

The focus in this module is to keep track of your use of substances. For a certain period of time, you’ll be keeping note of your substance use daily in the logbook in the app. We will help you analyse your behaviour: what, when and how much do you use.

We offer three online programs. Short courses to help you to get grip on your trip. Free of costs and fully anonymous. A personal online coach helps you through the program during a period of 4 weeks. He or she is a professional counsellor, working in addiction care.
Every module starts with some personal questions. This helps your coach to give you the best advise. Each program has its own goals: gain insight into your use, safer use, reduce or quit your substance use.

Your coach sends you online messages, several assignments and tips, and helps you to set your goals. This will help you to gain insight into your NPS use. It can also help you to change your using habits. You can always upgrade to a next module. You can stop at any time you want.
During the program, you can ask your coach questions about your personal situation. You can also give updates on how you are doing and what possible problems you encounter reaching your goals. And of course, celebrate your successes when achieving them!

Safer Use

The focus in this module is harm reduction. The best way to achieve that is of course not to use at all. But when you choose to use, there are things you can do to reduce the chances of having unwanted consequences of your NPS use. In this module you learn how. You will make a plan on what specific things you are going to do in case of using NPS, to reduce the risks to yourself and others.

Quit or Reduce

The focus in this module is to change your NPS use: to reduce or quit using. You will make a specific plan and set targets on how much, how often, where, when and what you want to change. We will learn you how to deal with craving, what self-control measures you can take and how you can cope with difficult situations. And we also we give you tips maintain the changes.
